Who we are
FundingFunnel is the trading name of Lian Munday, a sole trader and the controller responsible for FundingFunnel's own use of personal information.
Website: https://fundingfunnel.co.uk
Email: lian@fundingfunnel.co.uk
Address: 27 Marina View, Harbour Road, Gosport, PO12 1BQ
Our work includes utilities introductions, practical digital business toolkits, AI and workflow consulting, and managed business follow-up, including dormant-lead reactivation. This notice covers enquiries, purchases, our own business prospecting and service administration. Where we provide software or AI services, we explain any additional processing relevant to that service.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we use your name, contact details, postcode, business role, company details, enquiry or project information, correspondence, contact preferences, and records of purchases and payment status. If you ask for a utility review or quote, this may include uploaded bills and relevant information within them.
For business prospecting, we use publicly available professional information, such as names, roles, work email addresses and company website information, together with a record of its source. We also keep relevant replies and objection records. Our first message identifies the source of contact details obtained elsewhere. Public availability does not mean you have consented to marketing.
Our website and service providers may also process technical information needed to operate, secure and deliver their services, such as IP addresses, logs and cookie choices. Please provide only the information needed for your enquiry or service.
How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, assess relevant services or introductions, prepare a requested Utility Warehouse quote, supply purchases, carry out agreed work, handle support or complaints, administer business records and protect our systems.
For our own business prospecting, we assess whether our services are relevant to a person's business role, send targeted introductions and handle responses. We use OpenAI and HighLevel AI-assisted tools to assess public business information, organise prospect research and help draft communications. The current prospecting pilot uses supervised review of prospects and proposed messages before sending. These tools do not make autonomous decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about the people contacted. This notice does not give us permission to contact you through every channel.
Where we handle a customer's database on their instructions, that customer normally determines the purposes of the processing. Such work requires appropriate service and data-processing terms. This notice does not authorise access to a customer's database or its use for our own marketing.
Lawful bases
We rely on legitimate interests for relevant enquiry handling, business-contact administration, appropriate targeted business marketing and security. Our interests are in responding to requests, delivering and improving our work, finding relevant business customers and preventing misuse. For prospecting, we assess necessity, relevance, reasonable expectations and privacy impact, and provide a straightforward way to object.
Where we enter a contract with you, or take steps you request before doing so, we use the information necessary for that contract. Where you represent a business customer, our basis is generally our legitimate interests in managing that business relationship. We use legal obligation for processing required by law, including applicable accounting and tax records.
Where consent is required for an activity or communication channel, we seek it separately. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Silence or failure to reply does not establish consent or interest.
Your right to stop marketing
You can object to our use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time. Reply to a message or email lian@fundingfunnel.co.uk. You do not need to give a reason. We will stop that marketing, including marketing-related annual reminders, and keep only the information needed to respect your request.
Introductions and utility quotes
FundingFunnel does not sell or rent personal information for other organisations' marketing. With your permission, we may introduce you to an independent provider so they can respond to your enquiry. When you ask Lian to prepare a Utility Warehouse quote, relevant contact and bill information may be entered into Utility Warehouse systems for that purpose. Independent providers have their own privacy notices.
Digital toolkit orders and payments
When you order a digital toolkit, we use your name, email address, order details, payment status and relevant correspondence to process the order, supply the files and handle queries or complaints. Payment and transaction information is processed by Stripe: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy .
Order records are handled through our website, payment and email systems. We rely on the purchase contract with you, or steps you request before purchase. If you act for a business customer, we rely on our legitimate interests in handling its order and correspondence. Legal accounting or tax obligations also apply where relevant. We retain order information only while needed for these purposes, including resolving disputes, and then delete or anonymise it. Buying a toolkit does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing.
Service providers and storage
We use HighLevel for contact management and workflow administration, Microsoft 365 for email and business records, Google Sheets for operational registers, Dropbox for relevant files, and OpenAI for AI-assisted research, assessment and drafting. We also use website, form, security and spam-prevention services to receive enquiries and operate the site. Relevant information is processed through the services needed for the activity; not every provider receives every record.
Providers may process information on our behalf and may have separate responsibilities for matters such as their own account administration, security or legal obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law or needed for appropriate professional advice or legal claims. We take reasonable steps to protect information and limit access to those who need it.
International processing
Our providers operate internationally, and information may be stored or accessed outside the UK, including in the United States. Their published privacy and transfer information explains the arrangements they use:
- HighLevel describes UK Extension to EU-US Data Privacy Framework participation and publishes data-processing terms providing for standard contractual clauses with UK provisions where applicable: https://www.gohighlevel.com/privacy-policy and https://www.gohighlevel.com/data-processing-agreement
- Microsoft describes international processing and safeguards, including standard contractual clauses and Data Privacy Framework participation, with additional terms for enterprise services: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/privacy/privacystatement
- Google's general privacy and transfer policies cover documents and spreadsheets and describe adequacy arrangements, standard contractual clauses and the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks
- Dropbox describes worldwide processing and mechanisms including standard contractual clauses and the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework: https://www.dropbox.com/privacy
- OpenAI describes international processing and applicable transfer mechanisms in its privacy information: https://openai.com/policies/eu-privacy-policy/
- Stripe describes its processing and international transfer arrangements here: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy and https://stripe.com/legal/dta
These provider-specific arrangements do not mean every service has identical terms or that information stays in the UK. You can contact Lian for details about the providers used for your information and the relevant transfer safeguards, including how to obtain a copy.
How long we keep information
We review retained prospect information at least annually. We check whether the person's role and contact details remain accurate, whether our services remain relevant, and whether continuing to retain the information is necessary and proportionate. We record the reason for continuing retention and delete or anonymise information when there is no longer a justified need.
Non-response alone does not trigger automatic deletion, but it does not demonstrate interest or justify indefinite retention. Where a review message is appropriate and lawful, we may ask whether you would like us to retain your details or remove them. Not replying does not renew consent or automatically restart a retention period. We do not send these messages to people who have objected to marketing.
If you object, we retain a minimal suppression record, such as the contact identifier and date and scope of the objection, for as long as needed to prevent unwanted contact. We review its continuing necessity and do not reuse it for marketing.
Uploaded bills are retained until Lian has spoken with you or for 30 days, whichever is sooner. If you return later, fresh bills may be needed because the bills and quote may be out of date. Other enquiry and service records are retained only while needed to manage the matter, provide support, maintain necessary business records or meet legal obligations. Order retention is described above. Copies in service-provider backups may take longer to expire under their deletion processes.
Cookies and embedded content
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for site functions and to remember choices. Depending on the features used, optional technologies may also be involved. You can review the site's cookie information and use its consent controls to manage available choices. Cookies and technical logs can involve personal information.
Pages may include content from other websites, such as videos. Those providers may receive technical information, use cookies or monitor interaction with their content. Their privacy information also applies.
Your rights and complaints
You can ask for access to your personal information and correction of inaccurate details. Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for erasure, restriction, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Your right to object to direct marketing is unconditional. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.
Contact Lian using the details above. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ . You may contact us first if you would like us to try to resolve a concern, but you do not have to do so.
Changes
We keep this notice under review and explain material new uses where required. The latest version is available on this page.
